Hooray, a new academic year and mostly back to face to face teaching! I was so impressed last year by how our students adjusted to the requirement for teaching to go online due to Covid restrictions, but I must admit I did miss seeing the students face to face and having more opportunities for class discussions.
This year brings new exciting challenges for myself as I too will be a student as well as a teaching fellow. Just like many of our students, I am returning to learning to study with the CLL on the PhD programme: Adult and Lifelong Learning!
I have started working on my proposal for this based on the idea of student transformation, examining how (if) students change by studying in Higher Education and exploring what these changes are and the impact. However, I am looking to use more creative research methodologies but need to discuss further with my supervisors who are guiding me through this process.
I think you might all agree this year is going to be busy for all of us, but exciting times lie ahead!
