This blog is edited and maintained by staff from the Centre for Lifelong Learning. The blog is aimed at lifelong learners from across the local community and beyond. The content is researched and produced by CLL staff but we also invite contributions from students. We reserve the right, however, to respectfully decline or amend guest posts that we deem unsuitable or inappropriate.
The content of the blog reflects the views of the authors, and not the university or CLL.
What’s it about?
For more than 30 years the Centre for Lifelong Learning has been a centre of expertise in the education of lifelong learners in different contexts, with a focus on enabling adult learners to achieve their personal and professional goals. We conceived the blog as a means of connecting with lifelong learners and sharing our expertise in our curriculum areas. There is limited scope to add new content to the main website, so the blog will provide a medium through which we can communicate and update you on a range of related issues, from returning to study as an adult, to continuous professional development, to sector information. We offer expertise from a wide range of disciplines, including:
- Social work
- Early years
- Mindfulness
- Counselling and psychotherapy
- Coaching and mentoring
- Social policy
- Adult education and lifelong learning
- Career studies
- Teacher training
- e-learning
- Community engagement.
